If you're looking for the best wordpress framework out right now, Genesis it is. I use it. 

It's awesome, and the child themes are beautiful. 

 

You really can't go wrong having 44 themes to choose from.

 

..and if you're planning on ever creating a membership site to sell to your audience, then 

Premise is probably the easiest (and non-techie) way to get that done. It's a wordpress 

plugin. You install it, activate it, and start using it. 

 

Plus you can save $70 bucks. It's a steal if you ask me. 

 

The deals go away on November 18th, so if you've been thinking about changing themes
