Stop sending your visitors away.. here's how

There's a pretty good chance you're driving
people away from your site.

This is a common mistake I see bloggers make
and all it takes is 10 minutes to fix it.

Here's what you can do in the next 10 minutes:

1. Remove any ads that are currently not making
you any money.
  • Affiliate banner ads
  • Google adsense
  • Text links and so on..
2. Remove Social media profile icons. The idea
is to build an audience on Twitter and then
drive them back to your site.

.. not build them on your site and then drive
them back to Twitter.

Twitter gets enough traffic.. :0)

This includes the Facebook fan page widget
and the Twitter feed widget

3. Remove the Top Commentators widget.
Yea, this might help you get more comments, but
at what cost?

Your audience leaves you site whenever they click
on any of the Top commentators... and you don't
want that.

This includes a blog roll of your favorite blogs.
Sure it's nice to link out to your favorite sites,
but again, you're sending people away.

So.. that's it.

Take 10 minutes and clean up your blog's sidebar
and any other area of your site that sends people away.

Doing this alone will increase time on site and
possibly your conversions..
